Amid the inspiring melodies of the school band, NCC cadets welcomed the chief guest with an impressive and well-coordinated march-past, demonstrating discipline, confidence and teamwork.

The ceremony continued with the chanting of Vedic hymns and Swastivachan, creating an atmosphere of reverence and positivity.

The formal inauguration took place with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.

Chief Guest Emphasises Discipline, Hard Work and Character Building

The chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Chandra Trivedi, former Vice-Chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, delivered an inspiring address to the students.

He highlighted the importance of discipline, perseverance, dedication and character development alongside academic education.

Encouraging students to establish clear goals, he urged them to pursue their aspirations with determination and a strong sense of purpose.

He also emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the lives of great historical personalities and applying their values in everyday life.

Principal Presents School's Annual Report

Following the inaugural address, the school's Principal, Dr. Yojana Sharma, presented the annual report, highlighting the institution's progress and achievements.

The report covered accomplishments in academics, co-curricular activities, sports and cultural programmes.

She acknowledged the collective efforts of students, teachers, parents and the school management in contributing to the institution's continued development.

The presentation reflected the school's commitment to holistic education and the overall development of its students.

Shiv Vandana Marks the Beginning of Cultural Performances

The cultural programme began with a graceful Shiv Vandana, performed by young students from different classes.

Through expressive movements, synchronized choreography and devotional music, the children offered a heartfelt tribute to Lord Shiva.

The performance created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and set the tone for the cultural celebrations that followed.

The young performers impressed the audience with their confidence, coordination and artistic expression.

Prithviraj Chauhan's Birth Celebrated Through Traditional Dance

One of the early highlights of the programme was a colourful presentation depicting the birth celebrations of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Students performed to the traditional song Aayo Re Shubh Din Aayo, recreating the joy and festivities associated with the birth of the warrior prince.

Dressed in vibrant Rajasthani costumes, the performers brought the celebratory scene to life through energetic dance sequences and expressive choreography.

The presentation beautifully reflected Rajasthan's traditional customs, music and festive spirit.

Another dramatic sequence introduced Muhammad Ghori through a powerful dance performance set to the energetic beats of Khali, adding intensity to the unfolding narrative.

Ghoomar and Rajasthani Folk Performances Captivate Audience

The celebration also showcased Rajasthan's vibrant folk traditions through beautifully choreographed performances.

Students presented the traditional Ghoomar dance and performed to the popular Rajasthani composition Albelo Sajan Aayo Re.

Wearing colourful traditional attire, the performers displayed graceful movements and expressive gestures that highlighted the cultural richness of the state.

These performances celebrated Rajasthan's distinctive artistic heritage and added colour and elegance to the annual function.

The combination of traditional costumes, folk music and coordinated dance sequences created a memorable visual experience for the audience.

Students Recreate Major Events from Prithviraj Chauhan's Life

The central theme of Shauryagatha revolved around the life and legacy of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Students portrayed significant episodes associated with the warrior king through theatrical performances, music, dance and poetic dialogues.

The presentation included the story of Prithviraj and Sanyogita, Rajput pride, political struggles and conflicts involving Muhammad Ghori.

Various cultural sequences, including the portrayal of Harihar, enriched the storytelling and maintained the audience's engagement throughout the performance.

The theatrical production combined historical themes with traditional literary narratives, allowing students to explore the values of courage, loyalty, friendship and self-respect.

Dramatic Battle Scenes Become a Major Attraction

One of the most impressive segments of the evening was the theatrical depiction of the battles between Prithviraj Chauhan and Muhammad Ghori.

The stage was transformed into a dramatic battlefield through carefully coordinated movements, simulated sword fights and powerful acting.

Students portrayed warriors and soldiers with remarkable enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of intensity and excitement.

The battle sequences reflected the performers' preparation, discipline and teamwork.

The effective combination of choreography, music, costumes and theatrical expression made the scenes particularly engaging.

The performance also demonstrated the dedication of teachers and students who worked together to bring the ambitious production to the stage.

Prithviraj Raso's Legendary Episode Forms the Climax

The final dramatic sequence drew inspiration from the famous Shabd Bhedi Baan episode associated with the epic Prithviraj Raso, traditionally attributed to poet Chand Bardai.

The scene depicted Prithviraj Chauhan as a captive in Muhammad Ghori's court, alongside his close friend and poet Chand Bardai.

Through powerful dialogues and poetic expressions, the students recreated the legendary episode in which Chand Bardai guides Prithviraj through a symbolic couplet, enabling him to aim an arrow using sound.

The dramatic portrayal of the sound-guided arrow became the climax of the theatrical production.

The scene conveyed themes of friendship, courage, loyalty and unwavering self-respect.

While the episode is celebrated in literary and popular traditions, it is important to distinguish the legendary account in Prithviraj Raso from independently established historical events.

A Celebration of History, Culture and Values

What distinguished Shauryagatha was its creative approach to presenting historical and literary narratives.

Rather than simply recounting events, the students transformed the story into an immersive theatrical experience through poetry, music, dance and dramatic expression.

The performances communicated that courage is not limited to physical strength or warfare but also includes standing by one's principles, preserving cultural values and demonstrating integrity.

The event provided students with an opportunity to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork and stage presence.

It also encouraged them to appreciate India's cultural traditions and explore the lessons associated with historical personalities.

Vice-Principal Expresses Gratitude

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the school's Vice-Principal.

Gratitude was expressed to the chief guest, school management, parents, teachers, organizing committee and everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

Special appreciation was extended to the students for their dedication and to the teachers for their guidance and efforts in preparing the performances.

The contribution of the teams working behind the scenes was also acknowledged.

Shauryagatha Leaves a Lasting Impression

Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram's 17th Annual Function emerged as more than a cultural celebration.

Through Shauryagatha, the institution offered students an opportunity to connect with India's historical narratives, traditional art forms and enduring values.

The performances reflected the enthusiasm, creativity and dedication of the young participants while celebrating Rajasthan's rich cultural identity.

The event concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the message that the legacy of courage, character and cultural pride can continue to guide future generations.

“May the saga of valour live forever, and may the glory of India remain eternal.”
