The recruitment aims to fill 462 apprentice vacancies across multiple engineering and technical disciplines through a walk-in selection process.

Unlike regular recruitment drives, candidates will not be required to take a written examination. Instead, eligible applicants can participate directly in the walk-in interview and document verification scheduled for July 25, 2026, at VSSC in Thiruvananthapuram.

Walk-In Selection Date and Reporting Time

Candidates interested in the apprenticeship programme must report to the designated venue on July 25, 2026, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Since there is no online application process for these positions, eligible candidates must appear in person on the scheduled date with all the required documents.

ISRO has clarified that applications for these apprentice positions will not be accepted online or in advance.

Applicants must complete the registration formalities at the venue on the day of the walk-in selection. Only candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility conditions and submit valid supporting documents will be considered during the screening process.

Total Vacancies

The recruitment drive will fill a total of 462 apprentice positions, divided into the following categories:

• Graduate Apprentice: 273 posts

• Technician Apprentice: 189 posts

The vacancies are available across various engineering and technical disciplines under the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.

Selection Process

The selection process will primarily involve:

• BE/BTech, Diploma, Hotel Management, or relevant graduation certificate (provisional or final)

• SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE certificate

• Experience certificate (if applicable)

• Category certificate (where applicable)

Candidates belonging to reserved categories must also produce valid certificates.

Reserved Category Certificates

SC/ST Candidates

• Community or caste certificate issued by the competent Tahsildar.

OBC Candidates

• Valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued in the prescribed Government of India format.

EWS Candidates

• Income and Asset Certificate for the financial year 2026–27 issued by the competent authority.

PwBD Candidates

• Disability certificate issued by the authorised medical authority.
