The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced a major recruitment drive for 389 vacancies across Group A and Group B positions. The recruitment includes openings for Manager and Junior Executive posts in multiple disciplines, offering candidates an opportunity to build a career in India's aviation sector.

  • Junior Executive (Group B): 129 posts

Among the advertised vacancies, Manager (Engineering – Civil) has the highest number of openings with 145 posts, followed by Junior Executive (Operations) with 79 vacancies.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will begin with a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

According to the official notification:

  • The examination will consist of objective-type questions.

  • No negative marking will be applied.

Candidates shortlisted for Manager positions will also have to undergo document verification and a personal interview.

Applicants for the Manager (Fire Services) post will be required to clear additional assessments, including:

  • Physical Measurement Test

  • Driving Test

  • Physical Endurance Test

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as of September 7, 2026.

  • Manager: Maximum age of 32 years

  • Junior Executive: Maximum age of 27 years

Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Educational Qualification

Eligibility requirements differ according to the position applied for.

For Manager posts:

  • Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification relevant to the discipline.

  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is mandatory.

For Junior Executive posts:

  • Candidates must meet the required educational qualification.

  • Prior work experience is not required, making these positions suitable for fresh graduates who meet the eligibility conditions.

Application Fee

The application fee varies by category.

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹1,000 (including GST)

  • SC, ST, PwBD, Women candidates: No application fee

  • Candidates who have completed one year of apprenticeship with AAI are also exempt from paying the application fee.

Separate fees must be paid if applying for multiple posts.

Salary and Benefits

  • Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000

  • Approximate Annual CTC: ₹21 lakh

Junior Executive
