In Delhi, a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder continues to cost ₹942, while the commercial cylinder rate stands at ₹2,747.50. Although there is no new ₹300 price cut today, the current commercial LPG price is more than ₹300 below the elevated level seen in Delhi during June.

Domestic LPG prices have remained unchanged for roughly three months following the last revision in June. Commercial cylinder prices, meanwhile, were most recently revised on September 1, 2026.

No Change in Domestic LPG Prices on September 22

The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains steady on September 22.

The last reported revision in domestic cooking gas prices came in June, when the rate was increased by ₹29 per cylinder. Following that revision, Delhi’s domestic LPG price rose from ₹913 to ₹942.

Since then, consumers have not seen another revision in the domestic cylinder price.

Commercial LPG rates have followed a different pattern. At the beginning of September, state-run oil marketing companies increased the price of commercial cylinders by ₹9.50 per cylinder.

As a result, households and businesses should distinguish between domestic and commercial LPG rates, as the two categories are priced separately.

Commercial LPG Is Over ₹300 Below Its June High in Delhi

Commercial LPG prices witnessed sharp fluctuations earlier this year.

During June, amid heightened international geopolitical tensions, oil marketing companies increased commercial LPG prices in multiple revisions.

On June 1, commercial LPG cylinder prices were reportedly raised by around ₹42 to ₹53, depending on the location. Following the increase, the commercial cylinder price in Delhi reached ₹3,113.

Compared with that level, Delhi’s current commercial LPG rate of ₹2,747.50 is ₹365.50 lower.

This means the widely discussed decline of more than ₹300 refers to the difference between the current commercial LPG price and the higher level recorded in June. It should not be interpreted as a fresh ₹300-plus reduction announced on September 22.

LPG Cylinder Prices in Major Cities Today

LPG prices vary from city to city because of factors including transportation and local distribution costs. Here are the domestic and commercial cylinder rates mentioned for September 22:

Among the cities listed above, Mumbai has the lowest domestic LPG rate at ₹941.50, while Ranchi has the highest at ₹1,010.50.

For commercial cylinders, Mumbai’s listed rate is ₹2,701, while Hyderabad has the highest price in the table at ₹2,996.

What Happened to LPG Prices in June?

June proved to be an important month for LPG pricing.

Commercial cylinder prices were raised first, with a significant increase taking effect on June 1. Just days later, on June 7, the price of domestic LPG was also reportedly increased by ₹29 per cylinder.

In Delhi, this pushed the domestic cylinder rate from ₹913 to ₹942.

Since that revision, domestic LPG prices have remained at the same level, providing consumers with a period of price stability despite movements in global energy markets.

LPG Booking Rules Also See a Change

Apart from prices, LPG consumers should also be aware of changes related to cylinder booking and delivery.

According to the information provided, the minimum interval between two LPG cylinder deliveries in rural areas has been revised to 25 days. The earlier interval was stated to be 45 days.

Urban consumers were already subject to a 25-day interval, according to the report.

The change has reportedly been implemented following an improvement in LPG supply conditions.

Major state-run oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), have been directed to implement the revised arrangement.
