LPG Price Today, November 1, 2026: Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased across several Indian cities, bringing fresh cost concerns for hotels, restaurants, catering businesses and other commercial establishments ahead of Diwali. The revised rates came into effect on Sunday, November 1, with the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder rising by ₹10 in Delhi.

However, households have received some relief, as the prices of 14.2-kg domestic cooking gas cylinders remain unchanged in the cities covered by the latest update.

The revision follows another increase in commercial LPG prices on October 1, making this the second consecutive monthly hike in Delhi.

Commercial LPG Becomes Costlier From November 1

According to the latest reported LPG rates, a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi now costs ₹2,820, compared with ₹2,810 in October. This represents an increase of ₹10 per cylinder.

Chennai has also witnessed a price revision. The commercial LPG cylinder rate has climbed from ₹2,983 to ₹2,994.50, reflecting an increase of ₹11.50.

In Ahmedabad, businesses will now pay ₹2,842 for a commercial cylinder, compared with the previous price of ₹2,831.50. This means an additional expense of ₹10.50 per cylinder.

Commercial LPG prices have also been reported at ₹3,132 in Patna and ₹2,942 in Lucknow.

These changes could increase operating expenses for businesses that depend heavily on LPG for cooking and other daily activities.

Domestic LPG Prices Remain Unchanged

While commercial users face higher cylinder costs, domestic LPG consumers have not experienced a corresponding increase in the latest revision.

In Delhi, a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder continues to cost ₹942. Similarly, the household cooking gas price remains ₹941.50 in Mumbai and ₹957.50 in Chennai.

Consumers in Patna continue to pay ₹1,040 per domestic cylinder, while the reported rate in Lucknow stands at ₹979.50.

This distinction is important because commercial and domestic LPG cylinders serve different purposes and follow separate pricing structures.

Domestic cylinders are primarily used for household cooking, whereas 19-kg cylinders are commonly purchased by businesses.

How Will Higher LPG Prices Affect Restaurants and Hotels?

The latest increase could add to the monthly operating costs of restaurants, hotels, roadside eateries, food stalls and catering companies.

Businesses that consume multiple cylinders every day may experience a noticeable rise in their overall fuel expenditure.

For example, a restaurant in Delhi using 100 commercial cylinders per month would spend an additional ₹1,000 if its consumption remains unchanged after the ₹10 increase.

Although the price revision may appear relatively small for a single cylinder, repeated purchases can make the cumulative impact more significant.

However, higher LPG costs do not automatically mean that restaurant meals or catering services will become more expensive.

Businesses generally consider several factors before changing customer prices, including ingredient costs, electricity bills, employee salaries, rent and competition.

Commercial LPG Prices Have Changed Sharply Over the Years

Commercial cooking gas prices have experienced considerable fluctuations over the past decade.

Historical figures attributed to Indian Oil Corporation show that a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi cost ₹1,449 in November 2014.

The price declined during the following two years before rising again in 2017 and 2018.

By November 2021, the rate had crossed ₹2,000. Prices subsequently moved lower, reaching ₹1,590.50 in November 2025.

The newly reported November 2026 price of ₹2,820 represents a substantial increase compared with the same month last year.

Why Do LPG Cylinder Prices Change?

LPG prices in India are influenced by several factors, including international energy market conditions, import costs, currency exchange rates, transportation expenses and domestic pricing decisions.

Oil marketing companies periodically revise commercial LPG prices based on prevailing market conditions.

As a result, businesses may experience price increases or reductions at different times of the year.

The rates can also vary between cities because of transportation costs, local taxes and other applicable charges.

How to Check the Latest LPG Cylinder Price

Consumers and business owners can verify updated LPG prices through the official websites or authorised distributors of major oil marketing companies.

These include Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum.

Checking the latest rate before placing an order can help customers understand the amount payable and avoid confusion over outdated prices.

What Should LPG Consumers Expect Next?

The November 1 revision has increased the cost of commercial LPG in several cities, while domestic cylinder prices have remained stable.

For households, the unchanged domestic rates offer some protection against additional cooking fuel expenses.

For commercial establishments, however, the latest hike adds another cost consideration ahead of the festive season.

Future LPG price movements will depend on market conditions and subsequent pricing announcements by oil marketing companies.
